Helen Keller

Helen Keller is a great book by David A. Adler. Helen Keller became blind at age one. She had an incredible and extraordinary difficult time overcoming her disability. A teacher was hired to teach her how to become independent. She had a tough fight on her hand. I think this story will be great for children to read. It will teach them about being compassionate.

I will take the chance to read the book about Helen Keller. I read a short biography about her in the book "All about Braille Reading by Touch". It is admirable that she did a lot of important things in her lifeand received many awards and recognition for succeeding and helping others with her disability.
